A quick, simple concept this week.
Do you tear off the little gasoline receipts each time?
Would you be able to find it to compare to your credit card statement in a month? Would you be able to find it later the same night you bought gas?
If you are like me, you’ve answered no to those last two questions.
Yet, I have a simple way of keeping those receipts. And while I’ve never actually compared one to my credit card, I have the peace of mind to know I could find it if I needed it.
Above is how I do it. I just grab a quick photo of the gas pump when I finish. I get the phone ready while the pump is running and click a quick photo as soon as the pump finishes. It takes less time then to wait for the receipt to print out. And I do not print out the receipt, saving time for myself and the next person in line behind me at Costco, and helping the environment.
And if you use a photo upload service, like Google Photos or iCloud, then your photos automatically back up so even if you lose your phone, you have the receipt.
